From Customer Service to Character Creation.

Okay, so, picture this: me, stuck in retail management. Yes, the land of folding sweaters and mastering the art of the 'customer service smile' – which, let's be honest, is basically a daily audition for a sitcom where everyone's secretly plotting a flash mob. Years of perfecting the 'I'm totally listening, even though you're describing the exact shade of beige for the fifth time' face? That's acting, folks. Pure, unadulterated, survival-level acting.But deep down, the artsy kid who spent more time drawing than playing with friends was screaming for release. So, I did what any sane person would do: I signed up for the CMTC cross-country talent search. And, against all odds (and the lingering scent of department store perfume), I got accepted! Suddenly, I'm in Toronto, surrounded by people who actually enjoy pretending to be other people. It was like finding my tribe, except my tribe wears considerably less polyester.Turns out, selling moderately priced clothing wasn't exactly my life's magnum opus. Who knew? I dove headfirst into acting classes, improv workshops (where I learned that 'yes, and...' is the key to both comedy and avoiding awkward silences), and then, BAM! Voiceover. It was like discovering a superpower. I'm now fluent in 'baby giggles,' 'evil cackles,' and 'old lady grumbles.' I've also become a master of sound editing, because apparently, 'just winging it' isn't a viable strategy when you're trying to make a cartoon sound like it's not recorded in your closet.So, if you need someone who can go from 'sweet little cherub' to 'diabolical mastermind' in the time it takes to say 'sale rack,' I'm your person. I'm basically a walking, talking, sound-editing, script-writing, acting Swiss Army knife of artistic chaos. Let's make some magic (and maybe some delightfully weird noises) together!"
